Qualified Occupational Therapist
Kendal Care Home, Burton Road, Kendal, Cumbria, LA9 7RG

Contract: 37.5 hours weekly
Skills/Qualifications: Degree in Occupational Therapy

Key responsibilities

To undertake resident assessments of physical, communication, interaction and cognitive skills
To undertake the planning and providing appropriate treatment and activities to support resident’s goals
To liaise with residents, carers, families and other professionals in planning reviews and treatment plans of the residents
To advise and discuss the aims and objectives of occupational therapy with staff members and the benefits on how to approach everyday tasks differently
To be able to supervise and lead wellbeing and activity teams
To be committed in delivering physical and emotional needs to all residents in a dignified and respectful manor
To maintain accurate, concise and timely documentation, reporting on changes of wellbeing to the General Manager or the person in charge
To be committed in expanding your knowledge and personal development
